One of our latest demolition projects completed in Preston city centre. This building was an old 3 story warehouse which had previously caught fire causing the top floor sections to be unsafe.
This project involved demolishing the main warehouse and a single story building which connected to the other street.
The location of the site meant a road closure had to be put in place as there was only a narrow stretch or highway to work from. This involved liaising with the local council to create a safe diversion route for pedestrians and motorists prior to demolition works starting.
Due to the complex nature of the building being attached to 3 other properties the building was demolished by hand at those sections and the party wall cavities capped to ensure no damages occurred to neighbouring buildings.
